In January 2013, the Siempelkamp Giesserei received the order to produce more than 15 cast components like side plates and middle sections for rotary lobe compressors. With the receipt of this order, Siempelkamp was able to take up to its almost 20-year supplier tradition to the Aerzener Maschinenfabrik, right at the beginning of the year. A total of 20,000 kg of nodular cast iron is required to produce a housing for a rotary lobe compressor with a volume flow of up to 100,000 cubic meters per hour. This weight is distributed on two side plates weighing 5.9 t each and a middle section, a cylinder weighing 5.9 t.

The positive displacement blowers are used for oil-free conveying of air and technical gases like e.g. pneumatic conveyance of bulk materials, pressurized aeration of basins in sewage treatment plants, gas boosting blowers and conveying of practical all gases as well as in steel production. Therefore, the Aerzener Maschinenfabrik from the Weser Hills in Germany for whom Siempelkamp produces four to five cast components per month is again fully integrated in the production program of the foundry.
