The 63rd edition of Indian Foundry Congress (IFC), held concurrent with IFEX 2015 & CAST INDIA EXPO, drew to a close on March 1. Beginning on February 27 at the India Expo Center & Mart, Greater Noida, 300 Indian and international exhibitors from the fields of ferrous and nonferrous casting technologies and molding and coremaking technologies showcased the entire foundry industry’s value-added chain. Around 15,000 visitors flocked to the exhibition from all over the globe, underlining the enthusiastic response to the event. Once again, the Indian Institute of Foundrymen (IIF) gave away awards to promote excellence in various foundry upgrades. And for the first time, IIF organized “Cast Source Meet,” which was a star attraction for delegates during IFC. Cast Source Meet provided an opportunity to explore and forge new business relationships and discuss the challenges and opportunities of present and future markets for mutual benefit.
“Indian Foundry Congress and the exhibition gave access to the stakeholder community. With the new government showing strong directions to the manufacturing sector and sourcing material from the domestic industry, we can foresee a bright future for the foundry industry,” said Naresh Gang, organizing chairman for the 63rd IFC. “We are happy organizing such an event and definitely looking forward to increased participation in future editions.”
The 64th Indian Foundry Congress is set to take place in January 2016 at Coimbatore, India, where a large number of foundries are located.
