A total of 78,000 from more than 120 countries gathered at the Bright World of Metals trade fair quartet in Dusseldorf, Germany, June 16-20. Held every 4 years, the four trade fairs—GIFA, the 13th International Foundry Trade Fair with Technical Forum, METEC, the 9th International Metallurgical Trade Fair with Congresses, THERMPROCESS, the 11th International Trade Fair and Symposium for Thermo Process Technology, and NEWCAST, the 4th International Trade Fair for Precision Castings—encompassed every aspect of the metalcasting industry from across the globe.

With 2,214 exhibiting companies at the four trade fairs, attendees had much to see and do during the five-day show. Highlighting all the new developments shared in Dusseldorf would fill a book.
