Shiloh Industries, Inc., a renowned aluminum and magnesium diecasting manufacturer, has announced it is forming a joint venture with Suzhou Sanji Foundry Equipment Co. Ltd. in Jiangsu, China. Shiloh will take a 55% stock.
The new plant will introduce Shiloh’s high pressure diecasting and squeeze casting technology and processes to produce the CastLight series aluminum alloy castings for automotive parts. It’s expected to be put into operation mid-2016.
The new aluminum casting plant is a greenfield project with an investment of approximately $30 million. It will produce high pressure diecasting and squeeze casting ranging from 500 to 3,000 tons and carry out heat treatment and precise processing. After full production, the new plant will add 130 positions.
