EUROGUSS 2016 Brought More Visitors, Exhibitors and Space

On January 14, 2016 in Nuremberg, Germany, the largest EUROGUSS in history closed its doors with a new visitor record. The trade fair for diecasting attracted more than 12,000 visitors who came to inform themselves about technology, processes and products on the foundry and foundry equippers’ stands.

“This year’s EUROGUSS provided a successful start to a good diecasting year in 2016. The great majority of the exhibiting foundries are satisfied with the course of the fair. A really big advantage with this event is the fact that the right target groups, both in terms of quantity and quality, come to Nuremberg”, said Gerd Röders, chairman, Verband Deutscher Druckgießereien (VDD, Association of German Pressure Die-casters).

Dr. Timo Würz, general secretary, CEMAFON, the European Foundry Equipment Suppliers Association, summed up the event.

“Our member companies’ stands were very well frequented. The machine manufacturers are more than satisfied with their participation at this year’s trade fair. This is a good indication of maintaining the good results achieved in 2015 once again in 2016.”

The 580 exhibitors, 54% of them international, presented a broad range at EUROGUSS–extending from diecast parts through to materials, furnaces, foundry machinery and molds up to diecasting post-treatment and quality control along with research and development. The exhibitors traveled to Nuremberg from 33 countries. Apart from Germany (267 exhibitors), the top European exhibiting countries include Italy (127), Spain (20), Austria (18), the Czech Republic (15), Turkey (15), Switzerland (13), Sweden (10), France (8), and Netherlands and Slovenia (6 each).

The trade visitors at EUROGUSS mainly came from the automotive, machinery, plant engineering, electrical engineering, electronics, die/mold-making, furniture fittings, energy and medical technology industries. The top 10 visitor countries were Germany, Italy, the Czech Republic, Austria, Poland, Turkey, Slovenia, France, Switzerland and Spain. 98% of the visitors were satisfied with the range of products and services at the fair as revealed by a survey conducted by an independent market research Institute.

NürnbergMesse also will be staging China Diecasting in Shanghai July 12-14, and ALUCAST in Bangalore, India, Dec. 1-3.

The next EUROGUSS will be Jan. 16-18, 2018, at the exhibition centre Nuremberg.
