Dynacast International, Charlotte, North Carolina, U.S., has opened a manufacturing facility in Tijuana, Mexico.
The plant will be an extension of the 115,000-sq. ft. facility in Lake Forest, California, U.S.
Secondary operations will be moved to Tijuana, which will open space at Lake Forest.
“This new initiative is a first for Dynacast in creating a Center of Excellence for secondary operations,” said Thinh Pho, general manager, Dynacast Lake Forest and Tijuana. “By utilizing the experienced management team in Lake Forest and employing a shelter service provider to operate and manage the Tijuana plant, the combined Lake Forest-Tijuana business model will be leaner and more competitive than ever before.
“This has a tremendously favorable impact on our ability to win new customers and grow existing partners. It’s a win-win for Dynacast and our partners.”
Dynacast, a diecaster that offers the hot-chamber and cold-chamber processes, has 23 plants in 16 countries.
