Plattco (Plattsburgh, New York) has qualified for $50,000 in Excelsior tax credits and is reportedly planning on using the funds to replace its metalcasting furnace.
According to a report from the Press-Republican, Plattco president Doug Crozier said the company plans on using the money towards a $300,000 furnace upgrade.
“We are pleased New York has programs like this to support companies like ours,” Crozier said, according to the report.
Plattco manufactures valves and has been employee-owned for 14 years. Around 30% of its sales are outside North America.
“We made a commitment to our employees and ourselves that we are going to be a Plattsburgh manufacturer,” Crozier said.
